Exploring host-pathogen interactions in malaria parasites using CryoEM.

We are a new lab in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at Columbia University in New York, NY. We leverage the latest innovations in cryo electron microscopy to explore the molecular basis of host-pathogen interactions in malaria parasites.

We’re hiring! If you are an undergrad, grad student, post-doc, or somewhere in between and you’re interested in learning more about cryoEM, parasites, or both, please contact us!

Our Science

Research in our lab focuses on exploring how membrane protein complexes mediate host-pathogen interactions in endogenous malaria parasites, using single-particle cryo electron microscopy and cryoFIB-enabled in situ cryo electron tomography. Learn more about ongoing projects in the lab!

Our Team
